
If you're not familiar with Christopher Hitchens, he wrote the book
god is not Great, which was a #1 best-seller on
The NY Times Best Seller List in 2007. He also wrote a critical book about Mother Thereasa,
The Missionary Position, which you can assume is everything but lauding of the so-called 'angel'. He's long been an assailant of
all American politicians and American antics. (War in Iraq, Jesus Movement, etc.) Although I'm not a huge fan of him, I think he frequently raises valid points, albeit it in a militant manner.
Yesterday he wrote an article for Slate summarizing why for one of the first times, he has decided to publicly endorse a political candidate.
It's worth a read, if anything for a laugh. (Hitchens is
brilliant at making people look like fools.)
