We here in Ohio don't like USC. Why? Oh, because there were "rumors" of them absolutely destroying our glorious football team, The Buckeyes, and then later losing to unranked Oregon State. The unfounded and trite rumor was something like, "The Buckeyes for the first time in 15 years didn't even score a single touchdown. They lost abysmally, 3-35." Again, just hearsay. I of course have no recollection of this, since the Buckeyes never lose (and if they do we pretend like it never happened.) Case closed.
However, they still have some smart cats at USC. Professor Pete Gordon wrote an article about the importance of emphasizing economic impacts on planning efforts in the midst of a financial crisis. It's a good read. He also has a great blog. (It's still no Fabulously in the City, mind you!)
